Abstract
The paper presents review of the literature concerning the most recent data on the vascularization of tumor tissue, mechanisms involved in vascular growth, morphology of tumor vessels as well as angiogenesis factors. A special attention has been drawn to the role of the angiogenesis in tumor progression.
