Abstract

Dysfunction and/or injury of endothelial cells play the important role in atherogenesis. Vascular endothelium has many functions, for example regulation of tonus, coagulation and fibrinolysis. These functions endothelial cells are doing through the secretion of several substances, which are presented in this article.
