Abstract

The review of literature on the role of free radicals derived from neutrophils in coronary heart disease is presented. Polymorphonuclear leukocytes are the main source of oxygen derived free radicals. They contribute significantly to the pathogenesis of postischemic dysfunction reperfused myocardium.
